Russell Negus is Chairman & CEO of the Hillcore Group. He oversees the strategic direction of the company.
Prior to founding Hillcore in 1995 Russell built two successful businesses. The first, in real estate development, established his expertise and knowledge in commercial and industrial real estate. The second, a nationwide consolidation of agricultural properties, provided an opportunity to develop his original ideas on creating value in mergers and acquisitions. At Hillcore, Russell has continued to develop his creativity and originality in transaction design while focusing on building best-in-class management teams and innovative value-creating business strategies.

Tim participated in the founding of Hillcore in 1995. Prior to that he worked as a lawyer at Shearman & Sterling in New York. Tim provides strategic advice and operational assistance in all aspects of the company.
He is a graduate of the University of Toronto Law School and also received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia.

Greg has been with the Hillcore Group for over 15 years. Serving as Managing Director & CFO, Greg utilizes his extensive financial, business, and management background to lead Hillcore’s industrial group of businesses and is active in developing and executing the group’s strategy and growth initiatives while ensuring operational excellence. Greg has previous experience as an operations director for a global helicopter company and as a CFO in a major engineering consulting company where he led several key initiatives focused on business process improvement, financial management, taxation, and acquisitions.
Greg holds a Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA).

Eric Robb joined Hillcore in 2016. As General Counsel, Eric advises on M&A, structuring and governance, and a wide variety of corporate/commercial matters. In addition to his transactional roles, Eric also offers legal guidance in respect of joint ventures and other Hillcore initiatives involving First Nations collaborations, energy/infrastructure and forestry.
Prior to joining the group, Eric practiced business law at a couple of leading Toronto law firms, predominantly in the areas of corporate/commercial, M&A, private equity, governance and securities law. Most recently, Eric was senior corporate counsel for a leading Canadian quick service restaurant brand, where he acted as primary legal support for a number of business units and functions, and led or played key roles in several special projects and strategic initiatives.
Eric graduated with a B.Comm (Honours) from Queen’s University and an LLB/MBA from Dalhousie University. Eric was called to the Ontario Bar in 2003.

Trent joined Hillcore Group in 2018. Serving as Managing Director Indigenous Relations he is responsible for developing and implementing Hillcore’s Nation Building Initiative…a wholistic approach to community engagement and partnership development. This has resulted in an extensive network of Indigenous relationships and partnerships across Canada in multiple industry sectors.
Trent is an accomplished Senior Advisor and Management Consultant with over 40 years experience in Indigenous Relations, Banking, Indigenous Business and Industry Partnership Development. Most notably Trent worked with BMO Aboriginal Banking to establish a billion dollar portfolio and a network of 22 community branches across Canada and has worked extensively with various Indigenous communities to advise and advance their IBA Negotiations with industry and government. His efforts have successfully lead to some of Canada’s largest Indigenous industry partnerships and outcomes.
He currently serves as director on a number of First Nations corporate boards and is Faculty Leader at the Banff Centre serving the Indigenous Leadership Program.
Trent is a member of the George Gordon First Nation in Treaty 4 Territory, Southern Saskatchewan.

Bill Elkington is a recognized leader in Canada’s industrial and construction sectors, bringing more than three decades of entrepreneurial experience and organizational leadership to his role as Executive Chairman of Hillcore Industrial.
Bill founded JV Driver Group in 1989 and built it into one of North America’s premier construction and maintenance organizations, operating across Canada, the United States, and internationally, with annual work exceeding $1.5 billion. Under his leadership, the company became known for its strong culture, innovative project delivery, and long-standing partnerships across multiple industries.
Following the sale of JV Driver’s legacy industrial and maintenance assets in early 2026, Bill established Revird Capital, where he continues to serve as Chairman and Founder, steering investments in industrial operations, infrastructure, and emerging technology ventures.
Beyond his business achievements, Bill is deeply engaged in philanthropy as Chairperson of the Erika Legacy Foundation, a national charity focused on suicide prevention and mental health technologies that create positive, lasting community impact.

Kevin joined Hilcore Industrial in March 2026 as Chief Executive Officer. In his role, Kevin works with Hilcore Industrial’s leadership team and portfolio companies to drive strategic growth, enhance operational performance, and deliver long-term value for stakeholders.
Kevin brings more than 40 years of executive leadership experience across the industrial services, oil and gas, and pipeline sectors. He has led both private and publicly owned organizations, with expertise in operations, business development, M&A, and building high-performing teams.
Prior to joining Hilcore Industrial, Kevin served as President & CEO of CEDA. Earlier in his career, he was President of Willbros (Canada) Ltd. and Founder, President & CEO of Tarpon Energy Services, where he led significant growth through acquisitions and organic expansion.
Kevin holds a Journeyman Electrician certification from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), is a Master Electrician, and has completed the Queen’s University Executive Program. He is also a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D).

Alan joined Hilcore Industrial in March 2026 as Chief Financial Officer. In his role, Alan works with Hilcore Industrial’s leadership team and portfolio companies to support growth, strengthen financial performance, and help deliver value for stakeholders. He brings more than 30 years of international finance and executive leadership experience across public, private equity-owned, and privately held companies, including senior roles in industrial services, telecommunications, chemicals, and manufacturing. Prior to his appointment at Hilcore Industrial, Alan served as Chief Financial Officer of CEDA, where he helped drive strong financial performance, operational alignment, and strategic progress.
Alan holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Accountancy degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA).

Michael Doner joined Hillcore in 2003 and has served as a Managing Director of Hillcore since January 2005 and Chief Operating Officer of Hillcore Financial since 2008. Michael is the head of Hillcore acquisition team and is actively involved in structuring, negotiating and executing most of the firm’s transactions. Michael has closed in excess of $2.6 billion dollars of deals since he started with the firm.
Prior to joining Hillcore, Michael worked at Allco Finance Group and in the structured finance group at CIT (formerly Newcourt Capital). While at these companies Michael was a key member of teams involved in more than $700 million in financing structures. Michael began his career in the financial institutions and real estate practice at KPMG Toronto.
Michael is a Chartered Accountant and received his Graduate Diploma in Public Accounting from McGill University in Montreal and a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.

Gene Gomes has been a Managing Director at Hillcore since 2001. Gene is primarily responsible for origination and business development for all industry groups at Hillcore and manages ongoing relationships with clients, partners and vendors.
Prior to joining Hillcore, Gene was Vice President at JP Morgan Chase both in New York and Toronto. During his fifteen year tenure at Chase, Gene was responsible for corporate and investment banking for numerous industry sectors such as Industrial Products, Consumer Products and Media & Telecom and Derivatives and Structured Finance. Gene has been actively involved in several M&A and capital raising transactions totaling several billion dollars.
Gene is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), has a Bachelor of Science and MBA from St. John’s University, New York and a Bachelors and Masters of Commerce from the University of Bombay.

Joshua Walker joined Hillcore in 2019 and is primarily responsible for managing the firm’s strategic investment and acquisition transactions.
Prior to joining Hillcore, Joshua worked at KPMG in the M&A tax practice as well as the real estate tax practice where he advised large public companies, REITs and private equity firms with buy, sell and reorganization mandates. Joshua managed transactions with deal values ranging from multi-million to multi-billion.
Joshua is a designated Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Ottawa.

Kulwant joined Hillcore in 2005 and has served in his current capacity as Vice President since February 2010. Kulwant provides analysis and modeling for broad Hillcore initiatives such as new business models, new acquisition models and new debt and equity financing relationships.
Prior to joining Hillcore, Kulwant worked for Rocky Mountaineer Railtours where he was involved in acquisition of assets, financial analysis of operations and other strategic projects. He is also a principal in a private real estate holding company which owns and operates assets primarily in Vancouver.
Kulwant is a Chartered Accountant and was formerly an auditor at Deloitte and Touche. He holds his Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver.”
